Complex Tests That Far Exceed Legal Requirements
Expertise in Quality Assurance
All parts undergo routine tests when received from suppliers. Our Parts Inspection Department performs detailed tests in line with CAQ (computer-aided quality) schemes.
For incoming parts, certain critical criteria are checked. Modern CAQ software then ranks the quality of our suppliers. To minimise potential faults, all suppliers are also audited in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 standards.
The Parts Inspection Department uses state-of-the-art 3D measuring machines to verify the conformity with
BAUER quality standards, no matter whether the parts have been bought in or machined in-house. Quality checks are performed using specially developed stochastic patterns.
With an accuracy exceeding 1 µm (one millionth millimetre), a Leitz 3D measuring machine performs precision measurements of highly complex parts, such as crankcases, cylinders and screw compressor housings. To prevent external vibrations, the machine has a base plate that is 19 m deep. The climatised measuring room ensures consistent results.
Only after parts have been passed by our Parts Inspection Department, will they be accepted for the in-house assembly.
