Operator Interface
The controller interfaces directly with the molding machine control package for seamless integration. It incorporates hard-wire inputs that are connected to the molding unit controls in order to monitor the status of the molding system including the system safety and status of the mold unit.
Programmable Functions
The NCM-1 regulates an individual pressure profile to a single gas injection outlet. Using a closed loop, programmable logic controller, a low pressure proportional valve, high pressure dome load regulator and its own control pressure regulator, the NCM-1 requires only one high pressure gas supply source.
The NCM-1 generates a pressure profile consisting of up to five individual steps, each of which consists of a set pressure, a total step-time and a ramp or change in pressure value that can be used to control the gas flow in and out of the part cavity. In addition to the five step pressure profile, the NCM-1 interface port allows access to all programmable functions including system response control and an automatic purging feature for self-cleaning the mold unit gas ports. This port also provides for real-time monitoring capability of the current pressure profiles actual pressure and cycle time. This interface port may also be used to connect to the BAUER NCU View® software package that provides both monitoring capabilities in addition to the creation, naming, storage, and retrieval of multiple pressure profiles.

Hardware Features
The NCM-1 interfaces with molding machine via five sets of input terminals. The system inputs are used for cycle initiation, cycle kill, mold status, a safety input for purge guard and operator safety gate and a system enable/disable. The system also includes a power connection capable of running at 120VAC to 220VAC.
The controller has one high pressure input capable of accepting up to 6000 PSIG and one high pressure output for 0 to 5000 PSIG.
