Flushing – Gas circulation to cool the component
FM 1 – The new module for gas flushing
The pressurised gas flushing system enables heat to be transferred out of the component rapidly, reducing the cycle time needed to cool and increasing performance and productivity. The system simply requires 2 injectors fitted at the mould (per cavity), one as standard for the Gas Injection and the second for flushing with nitrogen. The BAUER Flushing Module can be retrofitted to existing equipment focused on increased operational efficiency. All parameter setting amendments including the pressure value place very simply within the PLC control panel (FCC5). A Flushing Module reduces cycle time and is essential for each gas channel (cavity) increasing the commercial advantage.

1) Process
The 2 gas injectors* enable the gas flushing
Gas injection using Injector 1 (similar to the conventional gas injection)
Automatic switch to Injector 2
Now the gas will be passed through Injector 2 and flows off through Injector 1. The flow rate is adjustable.
* Injectors for high flow are also available
2) Interface
Communication between Flushing Module (FM 1) and the control panel (FCC 5)
The Flushing Module will be integrated between the control panel and the mould.
The programming of the pressure-/time profile takes place in the control panel FCC5 which is electrically and pneumatically connected to the Flushing Module.
