Heimo Hanke - New Free Diving Depth Record in "no limits"!
New Free Diving Record in "no limits"!
After 4,5 minutes of nervous silence in the audience Heimo Hanke surfaces and proudly displays the 112-metre tag - new free diving record in the "no limits" discipline.
On April 8, 2000 Heimo Hanke already broke the magic 100-metre tag and thus got a new double world record in the desciplines "no limit2 and "variable weight".
During the summer his competitor benjamin Franz was trying to catch-up. However, the new world record of Benjamin Franz in "no limits" lasted only for some weeks.
With his dive last week-end Heimo Hanke took back his world record in no limits. Apart from his unbroken world record in the discipline "variable weight" (101 metres) he is thus once again double world champion fresh-water.
A special training in the pressure chamber centre in Heidelberg / Germany looked after by the dive medic Anke Fabian enabled Heimo Hanko to reach the new record, which required extreme physical challenges.
The record itself was prepared meticulously by the organisation team of Mauro Zürcher, Manager of the free diving training centre CEAL (Center d'Entraînement d'Apnée Lacustre) and financed by the main sponsor BAUER KOMPRESSOREN GmbH.
